The
Resist Bush
Vocabulary Review Fascism:
The American
Heritage Dictionary defines fascism as: "a
system of government that exercises a dictatorship
of the extreme right, typically through the merging
of state and business leadership, together with
belligerent nationalism."
Hypocrisy:
Webster's Dictionary
defines hypocrisy as:
"a feigning to be what one is not or to believe
what one does not; the false assumption of an
appearance of virtue or religion.
Treason:
Webster's defines treason as:
"to hand over, to betray; the betrayal
of a trust; the offense of attempting by
overt acts to overthrow the government
of the state to which the offender owes
allegiance.
U.S.
UNDER ATTACK! On
a fateful day in the year 2001, the people
of the United States found themselves under
attack by a strange new invader. It soon
became evident that our enemies had a determined
plan to end the American way of life. The
freedoms and liberties that we, as Citizens
of the United States, cherish so much,
were threatened as never before. That date,
of course, was January 20, 2001, the day
George W. Bush took the oath of office
to become president, having been appointed
by a corrupted and activist U. S. Supreme
Court. Anyone familiar with the truth about
the Bush Family and their cronies felt
a horrible foreboding about what was to
come. The events of September 11, 2001
that followed the installation of the much
hated pretender, were just the beginning
of what we can expect, now that the presidency
is in the hands of a few self-serving billionaires
and the corporations that purchased the
White House for them.
There
is not one single issue, either foreign or
domestic, that is not mis-represented by this
administration. The Clean air act actually
leaves enforcement of pollution laws up to
the polluters. The healthy forest initiative
gives our National Forests to the timber barons.
New education bills decrease funding for schools.
Bush does a photo op in front of a "corporate
responsibility" backdrop at the same time he
is taking teeth out of accounting regulations.
He has a new backdrop made for each photo-op.
After the photo op, Bush quietly cuts the funding
for whatever program he had just been promoting.
Bush has used September 11 as an excuse to
abandon the core principles of our democracy
in the name of "homeland security". The president
and the Attorney General do not have the authority
to decide if our constitutional rights will
apply. The constitution gives us no rights,
it recognizes that there are rights that are
self evident and cannot be taken away. Bush
is guilty of treason for undermining our democracy.
His invasion and accupation of Iraq has made
him a war criminal in the eyes of the international
community because of his pre-emptive attack
on a nation that has not attacked us.

Anti-war/anti-Bush
demonstrators in this country are now being
herded into fenced off areas known as "free
speech zones". Of course, pro-Bush demonstrators
are allowed to line the route his limousine
will take, as they hold up their signs of
praise for their hero. Someone should inform
BushCo Inc. that declaring free speech zones
is illegal. This entire country is a free
speech zone. It is a right that is protected
by the Constitution of the United States
of America. (Bill of Rights, Article 1: "Congess
shall make no law respecting an establishment
of religion, or prohibitng the free exercise
therof; or abridging the freedom of speech,
or of the press; or the right of the
people peaceably to assemble, and to petition
the Government for a redress of grievances.")
How dare they prohibit peaceful dissenting demonstrators, and allow only their
supporters the right to assemble?
